THE TURKISH CRIMES OF 2Oth CENTURY
(DECLARATIONS OF THE ARMENIANS, KURDS, GREEKS, PONTIANS, SYRIANS, CYPRIOTS)
Of all enslaved nations of Turkey to the Public Opinion of mankind and every man of goodwill. This publication aims:
To attract the attention of mankind to the victims of Turkish atrocities and vandalism and to perpetuate the historical memory to those acts
To inform mankind of the policy of genocide for millions of people,
Followed by the Turkish government in the recent past against the enslaved inhabitants who lived in Asia Minor and northern Cyprus and formed the majority of the population.
To extend justice and condemn Turkey for the crimes.
This condemnation is inevitable if there are any traces of civilization and self respect left under the veil of hypocrisy and immorality of international politics
The entire history of the Ottoman Empire and contemporary Turkey is a series of continuous imperialism, slaughter, plunder and endless bloodshed of the people who had the misfortune to be conquered by the Turks.
Greeks, Armenians, Syrians, Arabs, Kurds and recently Cypriots were the victims of Turkish brutality.
The genocide to Armenians and Greeks is numbered in millions of victims. Tens of thousands were the victims of Syrians and Arabs in South East Asia Minor.
Thousands of victims were Kurds seeking their human rights of freedom from the “democratic” Turkey founded by Kemal Ataturk.
Today the Kurdish population in Turkey is estimated at about 12.000.000 inhabitants. They don’t have the following basic freedom.
Freedom to speak their language, to sing their songs, to have their schools, to be taught their language, to have their autonomy, and to live free.
For the Turkish government, the existence of Kurdish nationhood is denied, and any attempt to protect and uprising is drowned in blood.
The Turks use the same policy in Cyprus which the invaded in 1974 in violation of the International Law. This invasion created thousands of victims. Since the invasion the Turks maintain an occupation army on the Northern part of the island contrary to the United Nation decisions and are in the process of changing the demographic composition of Cyprus by transforming Turks by the Turkish mainland to the occupied sector of the island.
If the civilized people of the entire world do not react against such acts, soon a new explosion of Turkish imperialism will evolve. This imperialism in its original phase is now spreading out with the Nazist “Vital Terrain” (extending to Balkan, Middle East , Caucasus, Mediterranean up to Morocco), the “Blue Territories” , the restoration of ex Ottoman Empire threatening all its neighboring countries .
In addition, it has under way a massive armament program by its military industrial complex, together with the imperialist rhetoric of mass media and officials.
The principles of UN for the self-determination of peoples do not bind Turkey at all, since Turkey does not respect International Law and the Law of See.
Furthermore, the principles of civilization and humanity which are revered by all civilized nations are being discarded by the Turks, Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been the Genocides and atrocities. It is a sign of the moral decline of our times that International Public opinion tolerates these acts of Turkey that degrade human civilization and do not impose a just punishment
For all these reasons we, the representatives of the subjugated and oppressed people of Turkey appeal and ask all nations in the world, regardless of their political or religious background, to help us in our unequal struggle.
Therefore, we ask you to join us as a voice of protest against the Turkish atrocities, its threat of using force and declare that we shall continue our struggle to the final victory, the liberation of our ancestral land from our oppressors
